Therefore, if something goes wrong, they will repair the cost, however there are some limits and restrictions to this and each dealer varies. Get the warranty in writing and make sure you understand it. While the prices are higher, they have an agreement with their bank to finance their customers and the interest rate will be lower than the tote-the-note lots.

Advertise your car. If you’re not satisfied with the offers from the salvage yards, you may be able to make more money by selling it directly. You can advertise on Craigslist or some other website, giving details about your car. Include photos and be honest about the car’s condition. Put down an asking prices such as $500 or OBO for “or best offer” and wait for people to contact you. One man’s junk is another man’s treasure — you could be holding a classic that would be worth a mint once it has been restored.
Believe it or not, you might be able to sell your used tires. If they are in usable shape, but simply need a patch, a car loan for people with bad credit might be willing to buy them from you in order to repair and then resell them. In fact, you can actually make quite a bit of money selling used tires to the right junkyard if you shop around to find one that will pay a decent price. Some people have used this to bring in a secondary income for their families, placing ads in the local papers collecting other people’s used tires for free, and then reselling them to a local junkyard.
