Travis Kelce is avoiding the Las Vegas Strip and the distractions of Sin City before the Super Bowl on Sunday – but predicts that it will become an unofficial home of football’s ultimate game.

Kelce and the Chiefs meet the 49ers on Sunday in the first ever Super Bowl in Vegas, with the tight end looking to go back-to-back after last year’s success over the Philadelphia Eagles and his brother, Jason.

The brothers reunited in Vegas this week to record a Super Bowl preview episode of their New Heights podcast and while Jason is free to indulge in the fun the city has to offer, Travis is doing his best to lay low.

‘The NFL is gonna enjoy having this place as the home of the Super Bowl. So for it to be the first and just what we have been through as team, to get back to the mountain top, that expectation was set the minute we won it last year. 

‘Fun ride up to this point, exciting opportunity and it makes you want to win it more than ever.’

The Chiefs and 49ers are staying around 30 minutes away from the heart of Vegas, in Henderson – a near 20 mile drive away – at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa.
